Jazz in Barbados October 4 – October 10, 2013

“Most jazz players work out their solos to the extent that they have a very specific vocabulary.” Lee Konitz – American alto saxophonist who improvises long, melodic lines with odd accents & note groupings. Konitz was part of the cool jazz movement of the ‘40s & ‘50s; he is best known for his work with master pianist Lennie Tristano, and the Miles Davis’ Birth of the Cool sessions.
