The Barbados Jazz Society presents “Steel Pan and Ivory” with the Ebe Gilkes Trio, featuring André Forde on pan at Divi Southwinds Resort, St. Lawrence, Christ Church. Show starts at 7pm.

NEW Twilight Jazz –The Detroit-Barbados Jazz Connection; a Big Band Jazz Concert  featuring trumpeter Marcus Belgrave and his wife, Grammy-nominated vocalist, Joan Belgrave augmented by the BCC Big Band. A free concert@ the Walcott Warner Theatre, Errol Barrow Center, UWI Campus starting @ 7pm.

Marcus Belgrave www.marcusbelgrave.net is musical director and Detroit’s jazz master laureate; he is the last remaining member of the original Ray Charles horn section. This gifted trumpeter and his wife, Grammy-nominated vocalist, Joan Belgrave, conducted a series of development workshops during March, with students in the Barbados Community College Music Department through the kind sponsorship of the US Embassy.
