Jazz in Barbados November 8 – November 14, 2013

“Players are coming from other backgrounds: rock, folk, ethnic music. It’s changing Jazz for the better.” Billy Taylor – an American jazz pianist, composer, broadcaster, and educator. Dr. Taylor held many academic distinctions and was indisputably the world’s foremost spokesperson for jazz.

Ricky Brathwaite Quartet @ Birdies Restaurant in Rockley Resort, Christ Church featuring Ricky Brathwaite on trumpet & Michael Cheeseman on guitar with David Burnett on drums, Ricky Williams on electric bass. Jazz starts at 8pm; $10.00 cover.

Saturday November 9

2 guitars with Victor Linton & George Gill @ The Waterfront Café, Bridgetown. Be pleasantly surprised by George with ‘not strictly jazz’ vocals. This new, refreshing, and lively entertainment starts at 7:30pm
