Michiel Borstlap
Renowned Dutch pianist and composer Michiel Borstlap brings his virtuosic talent to the stage. With performances in over 90 countries, Borstlap’s illustrious career includes collaborations with jazz legends such as Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter. His composition “Memory of Enchantment” earned him the prestigious Thelonious Monk/BMI Composers Award and was recorded by Hancock and Shorter themselves.
Jomo Slusher & Friends
Opening the evening is trombonist Jomo Slusher, a Belize-born, Barbados-raised musician and Berklee College of Music graduate. Slusher’s sound is deeply influenced by Caribbean rhythms and jazz greats, creating a unique fusion that resonates with audiences.
Hershel Rosario
Bass virtuoso Hershel Rosario, hailing from Curaçao, is celebrated for his ability to blend the island’s characteristic rhythms with jazz. His performances at events like the Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival showcase his dynamic range and deep musicality.
Marlon Conrads
Percussionist Marlon Conradus joins the ensemble, whose rhythmic expertise adds depth and vibrancy to the performance. Conradus’ contributions are integral to the ensemble’s cohesive sound and energetic delivery.
